There are some stores that sell outrageously expensive abayas to women in the gulf states who are willing to pay whatever the cost is to stand out.

Why wear hijab?

Hijab is beautiful. It is submission to Allah (God) and obedience to the creator. Muslim women women hijabs and abayas and islamic clothing and they are huge in number. Many women in the west accept Islam (converts or reverts) and then struggle with wearing abayas. They reason is that they will face much resistance from their family members. But ultimately one has to simply be strong and as Allah swt for help and strength. Ultimately there is no complulsion in Religion and everyone is free to do what they feel is right.
