There is much controversy about Ramadan and the Moon sighting for Eid and Ramadan every year. This year however a new twist has been added. As a sophisticated and highly educated muslim society in the united states we have begun forgoing the regular old moon sighting and instead begun using scientific nasaaic calculations to determine eid and ramadan for the next 10 years.
